Let me check - To play Reed 1 you need 5 instruments with you.
Reed 2 requires 3
Reed 3 you need 8 (yes, 8) instruments
Reed 4, 6 instruments
Reed 5 - just the one.

Doesn't the US Musicians' Union have any rules about maximum instruments? I think "trebling" (3
instruments) is the maximum we're supposed to be doing in the UK.
