Bill Hausman writes:
"Der Fuehrer's Face" originally came from a Disney film and was Spike
>Jones' breakthrough hit.
Bill: Yes, Spike Jones was a paragon of comic music and ya had to love him.
I understand his rehearsals were as intense as any "legit" bands in getting
the sound effects just right. Sometimes when I despair of today's pop music,
I recall some of the epic tunes of the forties such as:
1. Flat Foot Floogie with a Floy Floy
2. Three 'iddy Fishies ina 'iddy Biddy Pool
3. Mairsy Doats and Doazy Doats and Little Lambzy Divy
4. Hut Sut Ralson on a Rillera and a Fralla Fralla Suet
I'm anxious to hear Tony Pay's commentary on all this.
