I appreciated my teacher's attitude on lessons because it seemed he was =
more concerned about my progress than getting paid for a holiday.

If something came up, whether it was him or me (usually him) we =
rescheduled, and I got the same amount of lessons per month, no matter =
what. And I paid him at the beginning of each month, no matter what.=20

We never "skipped" a lesson, because it was important to my progress. =
Things like being sick, forgetting my instrument, etc, were just =
handled.

His attitude on a student missing a lesson would have been to make it =
up. Getting payment for no lesson would never have been the suggestion.
