Wow...you had some really bad luck. Either that, or you don't prepare
your reeds, which I do. I typically get at least 8 out of every box of
ten to work, but with some preparation, especially on larger reeds, since
their backs are more likely to warp.

(PS - for all you members who privately asked...a LONG time ago...I will
finally be putting pictures up on my reed preparation page. I'll keep you
all updated...it won't take long, now that I have a webcam.)
