Mom, "I forgot to tell you that my daughter had a field trip this week."

What made this truly outstanding (or should it be the most limping)
excuse: both parents were musicians, the father was high school band
director, who just the year before was "teacher of the year" for the
county.
Turns out that they were not happy with the way i was working with the
kid, but never made comments or question to ME about the lessons or the
materials and focus.

A friend had student of musican parents who would countermand her
instruction and assignments--to the child only.

This seems to happen with a few parents.

And i LIKE the students and parents who have to courtesy and honest and
respect to say, "I don't understand. Will you explain?"
