Mea culpa.
Keith is correct - cl/string quartet/plus piano. I have heard it with
string orchestra instead of just the chamber instrumentation.
As far as advice for anyone performing the work, listen to a couple of his
works, especially "Romeo and Juliet" and the ballet "Cinderella." The
opening of the clarinet part sounds like it could have been from
"Cinderella."
