And what is even more of a kick is to go back 6 months or a year later
and hear that much of the improvement has lasted!
One of the drawbacks in the sectionals I have coached is that the band
director doesn't sit in because he or she is involved in another section
or rehearsal, and so the follow-up is not as strong. Of course, I leave
suggestions with them, but the example is not as lasting.
