Dear Nancy

This must be the teeth thing that I missed. Somehow my posts got out of

The posting did not go out of order in YOUR mailbox: I sent the one you
cited a day before the other one. In at least the "Digest" (the way I
receive messages on the list) the second one appeared right before the
second one. Possibly something with my provider was wrong?
Thank you for your good advice on the teeth question. The mother of the boy
I wrote about had been with him to an orthodontist already, but this man
thought it better to wait three or four years more. Here in the Netherlands
it is also common to see people (mainly children) with all kinds of
apendages. When I was in my last year as a computer science student, ten
years ago, I had to take lectures with a professor, who started her first
lecture with excuses if it would be hard to understand her: she got an
apendage that very morning.
And as to thumb sucking: when I was a teacher of mathematics I had a female
pupil in her last year (thus 18 years old) who did it, especially when
concentrating hard.
This is a bit off line, I know. Hope not to have bored you or anyone else
Rien
