Klarinet Archive - Posting 000132.txt from 2000/04

When my band has an opening, I mail copies of everything I want to hear to
the applicant, along with my home phone number and my e-mail address in case
there are any questions.
If you have questions about anything on a list, contact the band and get
their principal player on the phone. If they're less than friendly or
uncooperative, you don't want the job.
I know many people who have had rotten experiences auditioning for military
bands, which is a shame because qualified applicants are harder than you'd
think to find.
