Excerpt from Klose Method

Everyone knows the Klose method. Especially the one printed in the USA.
There is, however, another edition printed in France. The Complete
Method of Clarinet.
This edition was brought up date, as far as modern chords, whole tone
scales and a host of other things.
The mechanism section has been enlarged considerably.
There were many famous French clarinet players involved in this edition.
It was copyrighted in 1956.

There is one section about reeds. An important observation appears
there:
"When the reed opens well but seems to be too open, it should be closed
a little by pressing on it, from bottom to the top right along the
bevelling and at different times with a previously moistened thumb.
