I'll certainly second that: I'd be suspicious of the bridge key
(between the two joints): on my Bb, if the joints are mis-alligned by
as much as 2mm, the 1-over-1 fingering for Bb above the scale just
won't speak! I now "sight" down the pivot rods on the two joints to be
sure they're correct.
