Have you ever considered denatured alcohol? It doesn't discolor the
mouthpiece. Of course, it's quite poisonous if swallowed or inhaled, but it
dries fast. I just put a bit on a soft cloth and rub away the salt deposits
on my mouthpiece--dries almost instantaneously.
