That's the idea. The bubbles are oxygen from the reaction that is doing
the job - but if you get lots of bubbles, the reed was too dirty already.
I like to give a brief (1 min or so) soak after every use - this seems to
prolong the reed life, and certainly keeps the "brown mold" away.
