Depends on your view of "significant". Surely tonehole placement, etc. has changed a bit over the years to change intonation peculiarities. Is it a new model now? Not by nomenclature. You can call it whatever you want, but Buffet calls it an R13.

Cynically playing the nostalgia thing? Well, if you want to say that, fine. I see no cynicism there. I see a market niche.
