Try a Pyne Polycrystal with a Vandoren reed (3 - 3.5????). My students seem
to have good luck with this combination. In my experience it's easier to get
a good sound out of this set up than on the standard B45; and this "good"
sound is generally much nicer than even the best sound on the latter. It's
worth a shot! Good luck!
