More fuel for the fire...
I really liked the DiCaprio method, and I let one of my students take it
home. I really would like to try to get hold of another one.
I mentioned in an earlier post that I like the Rubank Supplemental Studies
book, as well as the Rubank Duets. The Joy of Clarinet has been around a
while; that one too is fun. I would also suggest (and I really enjoy doing
this with my students once in a while) if you possess skills playing the
piano, to take one of those dull etude pieces and harmonize it - in other
words play an accompaniment on the piano while your student plays it on
clarinet. It can be done even with minimal keyboard skills.
