I am not disagreeing with you--i read your note that in the batch that
downloaded when as i sent my comments. Some of us have old equipment or
time limits for access. (g)
What you wrote makes sense.
I haven't had but 3 or 4 beginning students, and i used my copy of the
Book one of the Collis Modern Method, the series i would like to see back
in print.

On the subject of supplementary materials, i like the collection JOY OF
CLARINET and ....(title escapes at the moment ??). a Southern Music pub.
edited by Gee as the next level.
One of the best features of Joy Of Clarinet is the simple and effective
piano accompaniments--even with my very rusty piano skills, i can play
these well.
The first 8-10 pieces are all chalumeau. And has been in print each
time i recommend it.
>(Okay so I'm a true believer. To me, this series is the reason that I

I too got basic technique with the Rubank publications -- including the
Selected Duets and Selected Studies.
I use duets and echoes and etude tag for fun and example.
from another note:

to play >the "Sleeping Beauty Waltz" in the beginning volume of "Tunes
for Technique".
Yes, i like this book for supplement or summer packs.
What do you think / what is your experience with the books that have
accomp. cds?
