I forgot to mention that my 1968 or so Evette Buffet Student model took
a swim in March 1983 in the Atsion River in Batsto area of southern New
Jersey. The clarinet now has a black with moss green tinge - the new "two
tone" look and the case had to be thrown out. Naturally, this caused a
little visit to the repairman for rusted springs mainly. Still sounds nice
though.

(Incidentally, my husband's 12 string guitar took a dip too. However,
it has a much better sound now than before. Yes, we were going to play
beautiful music together in the woods while camping!! But, the canoe tipped
over!!)
