Hi. One of my students has an old Evette student model, serial number =
B15647, with the stock mouthpiece marked Evette sponsored by Buffet. =
The upper joint has a metal lining or insert. My student has managed to =
break of the middle tenon between the lower and upper joints, getting =
the broken off piece stuck in the socket. Could some of you old =
clarinet aficionados help me out with some more details about this horn, =
including exactly what material this beast is made of, as well as why it =
has a metal insert.
