I recall there was a post to this List about a week ago where someone
mischievously speculated why the French don't like Americans.

Francois Kloc responded, correctly, and with an admirable dignity, stating
in essence that rudeness did not recognise national boundaries.

How richly ironic that the explanation of his employer's policy, should
attract so much spiteful invective and rudeness, amongst some sensible
comment.

Sadly, it seemed that some lost sight of the fact that Francois was simply
airing a policy of Boosey & Hawkes, not his personal opinion.

The old adage comes to mind - play the ball, not the man.
