STAY in business, by protecting them from competition by other nearby

NOT. Strongly Disagree. This is exactly what the manufacturer's espose daily
and would have us all believe. It doesn't bother me a bit, but please don't
ask me to buy in that fluff. Be advised its not benign, its cancerous !

The "limited dealer network" only serves to limit the small dealer ... BUT,
the catalogue stores can sell to your customers everyday and special shows
can still "come" to your area and sell !

The "limited dealer network" doesn't work at all. It simply limits business
people from taking in part in free trade, under a guise of protected
territories. It gives manufacturers more control and the larger music
stores like Brook Mayes & the catalogues a real leg up ! They buy for far
less and they can sell anywhere they please! A heads up --- it isn't gonna
change soon. Many stores are being relegated to repair work only and then
when they can't stay in business, these entrepreneurs go to work for the
large retailer.
