This "Wagner" Adagio is actually one movement from a chamber piece
composed by Heinrich Baermann, the clarinet player who inspired most
of Weber's works for the instrument and the father of Carl Baermann.

Pamela Weston's books have excellent information about Baermann.
He rates an entry in Grove's, if you don't turn up Weston's books
right away.
