When I bought my Volvo 850-T a number of years back I willingly voided my warranty by exchanging the computer in the car with a (IMHO) better one on the aftermarket. No one is forcing anyone _not_ to make modifications, which in some cases may result in an instrument significantly better than the original. Just that making those modification may void the warranty. If you're making extensive modifications then the warranty is much use to you, anyway.
