Last Sat I went with friends to see a musical play called "Schlemiel the
First". It is kind a a slapstick play based on stories of Issac Bashevis
Singer about Jewish life in Poland, early 20th century.

It was cute, mildly funny.

I was treated, however, to two hours of extremely LOVELY klezmer clarinet
playing.

A gentleman by the name of Howard Green, who used to frequent this list
often, was in the pit band, and he did a fine job. His playing made the
evening extremely enjoyable for me.

Howard works at Motorola as a Program Manager, and is working many hours
these days, so he has not had much time for the list. There is no doubt in my
mind, though, that Howard couild easily make his living playing the clarinet.

Just a reminder......not all "pros" are playing professionally.....

Howard, if your out there reading this.....what a fine job you did!!!!!
