Mr. Girard -

Amen to your thoughts regarding the value of Klarinet in all its aspects.
As I've noted before on the list, I returned to playing after 46 years, so I
had a lot of catching up to do. Klarinet has been invaluable, even when
non-clarinet threads appear. I don't double on any other instrument, so I
suppose that Eb Soprano, Alto, Bass, Contra, the various Saxes, Flute, Oboe
and Bassoon postings should be of no interest to me - WRONGO!!!! I read,
with interest almost all of these postings and have learned a great deal
about our fellow woodwinds.

And, having been entirely away from playing for all that time, I would have
no idea about where to find products and services if it were not for Mark
Charette and Klarinet. I welcome the "commercial" postings - they tell us
where and what is available in the market. (There are suppliers beyond the
major catalog houses.) I'm sure that the many other listers who have
returned to playing after long absences also have found the value of
Klarinet.

I would like to respond to Mr. Wright's recent posting regarding
commercialism on the list...I have exactly the opposite point of view. I
would like to congratulate list members for tasteful use of this forum for
networking, technical discussions, trivia, fun and especially for the links
to other related sites! Recently returning to this field after a long
absence, I am catching up on all aspects of playing, resources and
education. The list has been invaluable in helping me achieve my goals.
