I (as usual ) agree with Lelia. Even if a question is out of
line, when it is put politely it is a lot less out of line
than a flaming response to it.

As far as commercialism -- a little goes a long ways. Plugs
in tag lines are fine by me and even short mentions (e.g. "Hey gang,
I've got a beautiful F# Denner-system knotty-pine clarinet
listed in the Sneezy klassifieds") of personal sale items are ok.

As far as the recent name the quasi-famous clarinettist --
it was slightly fun but a little out of hand, but that was
largely the fault of respondants, many of whom
included way too much preceding stuff.

By the way, I'm glad to see that the snotty remark
(yesterday or the day before - can't find exact message) to
the effect that "this may be commercial but at least
it's about clarinets and not cats" didn't scare Lelia away.
I had pictured her sulking in a corner, playing very quiet
tones on a bass sax, with eight purring felines in her
lap.
