My favorite remains Leblanc's description of the Infinite clarinet
having a "more youthful tone" than the OConcerto model. Youthful tone?
Wazzat? When I was in the 5th grade and they handed me one of those
execrable metal horns to learn on, I had a youthful tone, too. I
squealed like a cat in heat. I suppose using a 43-year-old Centered
Tone means said tone equates to playing like an old fart? Extend that
illogic further: a Bundy student bass clarinet of my acquaintance (in
fact it lives in my house) should say "Peg" at every opportunity, and
that isn't so I can play it while sitting down.
