Hi Leighton,

I'm not really sure why there is that price difference. My only guess would
be the fact that Buffet has a better reputation regarding their clarinets
than Yamaha does. Personally, I think that Yamaha instruments are fine. My
alto is a Yas-785 Custom.
OTOH, I have never felt that Yamaha clarinets were very good. Just my 2
cents worth.
