Wow-spring break allows me to get a bit involved in the discussion. I am
also afraid to report this-but within the last month I was on the doctoral
committee of two of our (Univ KY) conducting students. As part of their
qualifying exams there were several terms to identify and some notable
personages. Dan Leeson appeared on both these exams-I must report that he
was identified by both candidates in very appreciative language. I wonder
who was responsible for the question? They are good musicians and very
interested in wind literature.
