What instrument is used in your church? How about the organist
transposing down to meet you ?? Novel idea from clarinetist who is also
a church organist! Some church musicians are very adept at transposing
and many new electronic organs have the option of turning the transpose
knob and bringing the pitch up or down in half steps as much as 2 whole
tones. I play a Rodgers C440 and all I'd have to do is turn the knob to
-2 and you could play in the written pitch. The only other consideration
is how low the lowest pitch would be for congregational singing. Bb is
about as low as the melody line should go.
