Tony Pay writes (as an example):

<<I should perhaps make it clear that the statement, "I find that mouthpiece X, with such-and-such dimensions and facing, is the best for me," is an objective statement. It might even be the most useful sort
of objective statement on this topic.>>

I wish to point out, that, even if one does say that, it really makes little difference.

We make an assumption, that a mouthpiec is a mouthpiece is a mouthpiece. A Pyne is a Pyne, a Fobes is a Fobes, A Larry Combs LC3 is .....etc....

Well....there is so much variation in individual mouthpieces, due to a combination of MINUTE differences that each mouthpiece is still an individual, and can and will vary greatly. Just because I for example have a Pyne/Hawkins/Fobes and am happy....doesn't mean that the next one down the assembly line will fit me OR you.

We might be better off saying.....Jim Pyne....or Richard Hawkins....make great mouthpieces......contact them with your specific requirements to see if they can satisfy you as well as they satisfied me.

That is the state of the science/art/craft at this point.
