Jon,
My experiences with eefers have convinced me that Selmer can't
make one in tune to save its soul. I have never dealt with a Leblanc eefer
but I'll bet that Noblets are quite in tune because their C clarinets are
so nice. I play on a Buffet RC and I think they are wonderful. I've tried
a couple of others which are also quite in-tune. R-13's tend to have
tuning problems (it's that damned octave key placement, I'm sure). I have
no idea what Yamaha has, but if it's anything like their beefers, it
probably is a clone of the Buffet R-13 with the same problems.
So much for my $.02
