Klarinet Archive - Posting 001165.txt from 2000/02
From: "James Lytthans" <lytthans@-----.net> Subj: [kl] Ligatures Date: Tue, 29 Feb 2000 12:05:03 -0500
I bought an Olegature at a show a couple of years ago - gold mesh, in a
fancy ring box. A wonderful sounding lig, but unusable in an orchestral
situation, as it keeps coming off. For recitals, it's my choice. Otherwise
I use an Inverted Bonade on my Hawkins m'piece. This combination gives me
the best response and articulation throughout the whole clarinet range, plus
good projection.
BTW, I just ran spell check, to make sure I don't start the English
thread again! I did enjoy all the postings, though.
"To err is human....." I got it right!
