Danny,

I cannot help you in your quest for a real Leblanc catalogue,
but I have been playing their Esprit model for 4 years now.
It is a good entry-level horn, as their literature says.
It has a few minor problems, and its not a perfect horn.
But the tone quality across all ranges and ease of use will
get you pretty far if you plan to keep playing for a few more years.

The main problems I have/had with my Esprit are:
-- B key keeps bending, resulting in perpetual leakage
-- extremely stiff joints, even after sanding down the cork
-- Tendency to sharpness with an average stock mouthpiece,
you will need to choose your mouthpiece carefully
-- Not able to get stable sound above super A
(feedback from other Esprit players is appreciated)
-- minor thing but the brand label is made of really
cheap paint/enamel and has practically worn off.
After 1 year the horn says "Le nc" instead of "Leblanc."

But on the plus side, for the money Esprit is a good horn.
Haven't played a Buffet in a long time but I remember
the key action wasn't as fluid as the Leblanc.
