In response to Chuck King's request for a teacher in the Chicago area:
Chicago has at least two excellent music schools: DePaul University School
of Music and the American Conservatory of Music
associated with Roosevelt University (help-I have the right idea, but
possibly the wrong names of the schools, and at 01:32 AM
Pacific Time, my brain is freezing!!). DePaul University School of Music
has a community music school if I remember correctly.
Contact either school for recommendations on teachers. Larry Combs, John
Bruce Yeh of the Chicago Symphony teach at DePaul,
But only accept a select few students.

Subject: [kl] Seeking teacher referral
I have seen a lot of posts on this list referring to the Chicago Symphony,
so
I assume there are at least a few Chicagoans on here, and I'm hoping someone
can help me out. I'm a beginning player who lives in the (wood)Windy City.
I want to take some lessons, and I need to find a teacher. I live in the
city (Lincoln Square/work Loop) and don't have a car, so I need someone in
the city and preferrably accessible by the el. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.
Chuck King
