This has just _got_ to be one of those days. I know _I_ feel a bit "prickly"
about being an American after some banter earlier today.

With the immediacy of something like the list I also tend to forget that the
people I'm writing to aren't in my own "backyard", so to speak. If I mail a
letter and I have to spend extra because it's going to a different country,
I tend to remember the differences. If I talk to my neighbors (or even my
wife), I forget that many of them aren't native-born to this particular
country. Maybe other get caught up in this same feeling.
