Subj: [kl] Clickety clack!

Humorously enough, Michael, both yours and "Topper's" interpretations
of the word "clickish" are mistaken. Topper probably thought he was
saying that the discourse appeared be divisive on the basis of people's
opinions relative to the appropriate level of precision in one's writing
style. The correct word for the concept of separating off into groups
is "clique" (pronounced either "klik" or "kleek"). While your assump-
tion that he meant to say "cliche'" might seem appropriate on the sur-
face, it doesn't gel with the context of the paragraph that he wrote.

Most interesting is the fact that to "click" generally indicates that
two or more people serendipitously function particularly well together,
which is almost exactly opposite to what Topper was trying to say.

Don't get me started on "claque"...!
