If I may humbly play the devil's advocate, I own two Daniels aluminum barrels one
being the Moennig design which I used with a Leblanc clarinet and a Buffet Moennig
for my R13. In both cases, the Moennig offered more resistance due to the reverse
taper. Not to differ with the venerable Mr. Fobes but my preference is to have
some resistance. I find wind column control is more sustainable. Perhaps Clark
used the term "drag" in a different context than resistance.
