Hello all:
I`m new to the list, so at the risk of going over old material, I`m going to
ask anyway.
How much difference does the ligature make in tone and/or sound production.
I`ve been playing a Buffet with a David Hite mouthpiece and Moennig barrel
(done for me by one of Hans` proteges) for years, with little thought to the
ligature. I`m starting to think it would certainly help in the areas of
response at least. Any information, insights, or recommendations would be
greatly appreciated.
