I ain't Walt, but hey...I'm gonna answer anyways.

The number one way? LONG TONES! The way to go, period.

There are other ways, yes, but none with so many benefits as long tones.
(The others include playing double lip for week or so, the reverting to
single lip, or playing on a reed a strength too hard for a week. Of these
two...I'd go with the double lip one...)
