Emil Acitelli was born, raised and presently (82) lives in the Detroit area.
He received his BS in Music Education from Wayne University in 1950,
and earned his MM in clarinet performance from Michigan University in 1982
He studied the clarinet with Albert Luconi, Val Henrich, Keith Stein, and
John Mohler
In 1943 he was drafted and became 1st clarinet of the 405th AAF Band under
the
direction of WOJG Mitchell Chetel and played with that organisation such
diverse solos as the Rigoletto Fantasia and Clarinet a la King .... (precis)
He later joined the Detroit Concert Band (61-76) Presently working in the
theatre,
recording studio and does some freelance arranging....
