I'm only confirming the PD status of _my_ particular edition. Be careful;
I'm sure it was reprinted since then, and later editions may have minor
changes and a later copyright.

Greetings all,

I am glad to have treated myself on this, my birthdate to a long overdue
want, that is to join this list. My name is Leonard Georges Carroll and I
have been studying to become a clarinette player since age four. Have taken
many side-roads, have become side-tracked but never sideman, unfortunately.

I play the Bass currently. I use a Leblanc modele 400. I have two. I am
considering a slightly larger instrument, the Selmer Modele 41.
I am used to playing with one octave key, and only to Eb. So I thought why
not go down a m10th to a real low C.

My purchasing agent explains it would be cheaper to order two, but I know
no person who is ready to buy one at this time. Not that I am ready. I am
selling nearly everything to afford one.

If anyone is interested in an esgrow contract of sale for a new Selmer
Contrabass and wishes to save $1,500.00 off the lowest price in the country
before the gas prices lower the US dollar please let me know privately and
we may discuss the possibilities.
