For several years I have admired the work of Ohio composer Rick Sowash. I
especially like Rick's ability to give the clarinet voice through music that
is at once simple yet lush. You can learn more about Rick and his music at
www.sowash.com.

You might also consider Rick's new CD "Rick Sowash: A Portrait at 50" ($15
including postage, Rick Sowash, 558 Liberty Hill, Cincinnati, OH 45210). On
the CD you will find a gorgeous, 70-minute compilation of some of Rick's
works ranging from "Cape May Suite" to "A Little Breakfast Music" to "Une
Pavane Americaine: Homage a Ravel."

Those ordering Rick's CD will receive several FREE pieces of sheet music from
Rick's "College Town Diary," a collection of SOLO CLARINET WORKS representing
an event in each month of the academic year. Some of the themes are returning
to school, winter holidays, and spring break. Whether you are still in school
