To anyone who has a few minutes to offer an opinion:
The low "B" on my clarinet hasn't been playing easily and I
attributed it to the right side pads. I had them re-seated and seemed to
be better. Then one day about 2 weeks ago I left my clarinet in the car
overnight and all of a sudden my mouthpiece wouldn't fit securely in the
barrel. For the past couple of weeks I have been using a strip of paper
to fill the space. It was working wonderfully, but today I cant get
anything to blow without a lot of pressure.
HELP!!! I'm taking this improv class tomorrow where I have to stand
and play alone (ok, with the piano accomp) Can anyone think of something?
Does this make sense? Do I need plain paper instead of kleenex? Does it
need to be perfectly even around? Could it actually be a pad leaking
instead?
I would really appreciate any suggestions you have until I can take
it to someone else to look at.
