Hi Cindy (& anyone else who may be able to help),
Do you have any more contact details for Uebel?
I have a Uebel (Bb) clarinet, about 25 years old.
For years I've wanted a pair (A) for it for years but never knew how to go
about obtaining one.
The one I have is a Boehm hybrid marked "Original/G.Rudolf,/Uebel/
Wahthausen/Vogtland" and is distinguished by having kework which seems to be
pressed from stainless steel sheet.
It also has a double key for the throat a, (ie a single key which raises a
pair of pads which cover two separate tone holes) as well as other more
usual hybrid Boem features such as the the "octave" (register) key at the
front.
Although I think it may have been produced as a "student" model, it's a
lovely instrument.
Also, I had heard that "Uebel" was/is a collective and that "G. Rudolf" was
the individual maker. Does anyone know if this is true?
Tim (in Australia)
