Ah, whatever. You're probably right - recall that we just prefer to call
it Chester Drops Acid, because that's what it sounds like. I'm lucky I
EVER get titles correct, as when we rehearse, we don't refer to pieces by
title but by composer. "Okay, we'll start with the Bryant today."

This sometimes leads to interesting quips, if the timing is write. Three
semesters ago, we played the James Barnes Third Symphony, and my
counterpart bassist, Dave, and I took it to a new level.

DrVan: "Okay, now on to the Barnes."
[pauses]
"James Barnes."
Winds: [groans]
Dave: "I bet he has a licence to trill."
DrVan: "Ha ha."
Shour: "Vodka martini, staccato, not slurred?"
Oboist: "Will someone run over our bass clarinetists with an Aston Martin,
please?"
