Mary,
Although, the Evette&Schaeffer is a nice Clarinet it is not an R-13. In =
the day of dinosaurs when I received my Evette&Schaeffer it was =
considered an intermediate Clarinet. It has a very nice tonal quality =
but it does not have the projection qualities of the R-13. IMHO.

Subject: [kl] Newcomer Question?
Hello,
I just joined this list. My son is the clarinetist (I play
flute).
He will be starting High School next year, and his teacher is
currently looking for a used Buffet R-13 for him.
I saw an advertisement for a Buffet Evette&Schaeffer wood
clarinet, just completely over-hauled, and wondered how it
would compare? One problem is that I would have to purchase
it through the mail. It's price is considerably lower than most
R-13's I've seen.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Mary Kay
