I wouldn't get it refaced unless you have something that you like as
much. There is always the possibility that it won't turn out the way
you'd like, and you may not be able to change it back to exactly the
same as it was. This possibility is slight, but it is worth noting.
Before I started refacing, someone altered my mouthpiece (a Kaspar)
without asking my permission (he was supposedly going to copy it.)
Naturally, I was upset, and asked Everett Matson to repair the damage
that this other person had done. (For obvious reasons, I won't name the
hack who did the damage. It wasn't anyone who posts on this list.) Even
Mat couldn't bring it back to life. I had a go at it several years
later, with the same results. I then gave it to a friend to try his
hand, figuring there was nothing to lose. Still dead. I think he gave it
to some kid to use in marching band.
