Don't I remember someone (probably Eric Brand) saying that you could remove
light markings on a mouthpiece (such as ligature lines) by gentle heating.
Such as 90 degree weather with the bag lying in the sun. Might this cause
the removal of the markings at the same time that it warped the table?

Just a thought.
