A bit of advice. Put your clarinet down.

Read through the music looking at the rhythms, read them and understand them.

Try singing them with nonsense syllables. eighths note = Hot Dog, sixteenths
@-----.

Sing with the metronome. (don't worry too much about the pitches, at this
point any note will do).

Only when you can SING it properly, in rhythm, can you play it properly.

If you can't do this yourself, find a GOOD sight singing teacher.
